Happy summer! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying our very interesting Wisconsin weather. Thanks to all the students who have signed up for the Fourth of July Parade to help show off our program. If you want to join us there is always room for more. The cool thing is we will be the 1st spot in the parade after police, fire, and veterans — which means we are finished first!

Here is the plan for this week getting ready for the 4th of July Parade:

WEDNESDAY we will practice in each class to teach everyone our super awesomely short routine for Friday’s parade.

THURSDAY we are inviting everyone to be in class at 5:30 for a big group practice. We may head outside to if the weather cooperates so that we can get a feel for the great outdoors.

FRIDAY 4th of JULY! Friday morning we will meet in the Deforest High School parking lot beginning at 9:15 or so. Please try and arrive no later than 9:45 so we can be sure we are organized and ready to roll at 10:30.

10:30 is start time!

PARADE ROUTE: North on Halsar, West on Holum, finish at Main St. and Holum. We will turn left and gather at Christ Lutheran Church. I will have bags for anyone who would like to head back to the parade and do some candy recon!

What to wear/bring: MPK t-shirt, karate pants, your belt, tennis shoes, (NO FLIP FLOPS), sunscreen, and a water bottle.

MPK parents: I will need a few of you to hand out passes and a few for candy chucking. We will need some parents pulling wagons with the water bottles.

Parents please have a plan to meet your kids at the end of the parade.

Thanks in advance to you all for supporting our program and showing your MPK Spirit!
