A+ After School End-of-Year Reminders

Posted on May 31, 2016

Just a few reminders before school is out next Tuesday. Each year goes by faster and faster, it seems. We had a great group of students this year, ending up with just under 60 kids! This is my 5th year working with Mr. Armstrong and I love it. We had some new faces that joined this year. Thank you again for joining our program — help spread the word if families are looking for a great activity to do after school.

SPARRING: today is last day of sparring. Sparring gear will be sent home with your child. Please wipe down everything, wash shin guards, cup/athletic supporter, and mouth guard.

FLEX (monthly) PAYMENT FAMILIES: If you haven’t already paid for June, please do so this week so you’re paid up before school is out. You can use check or credit card (no debit cards).

TUESDAY, JUNE 7: Last day of School and is let out at 10:55 and no lunch will be served. The plan is if weather is good (no rain), we’ll be walking to Firemen’s Park as we’ve done in past to play at the playground, play kickball, football, and have a pizza party before returning back to MPK at around 3:30ish. I have a sign up sheet on the counter, please check YES attending or NO not attending. You can email me, too. We’ll need to know either way for head count on the MPK van and buses. We have sunscreen that we’ll provide for the students. If your child uses a certain kind/brand of sunscreen, please send it with your child for us to put on them. Please make sure it’s labeled with your name on it.

WEAPONS: If your child is in the weapons 3-month rotation, it will end June 19. Mr. Armstrong will do the Boken (sword) for another 3-month rotation through summer. If you continue, you’ll have to pay again like you did before.

NEXT FALL REGISTRATION: If you plan to return next year, try to get your paperwork and payment turned in soon, before June 30. Prices will go up. We only need one month (September) payment to hold your spot. If you write a check, we’ll hold onto your check for couple months and not cash it until August — in case something happens and you can’t return next year, we’ll give you your check back.

Have a great, fun and safe Summer!
