Happenings at MPK

Posted on April 8, 2013

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying rainy but warmer weather. Here are a few things to put on your list for MPK activities.

• Karate Tournament in Deforest:

Capitol City Open
Spring Karate Championships
Sunday, April 14, 2013

Held at the Deforest Middle School. Please click here to view the registration flyer for more information regarding fees and times (right-click to download). We have been working on tournament prep in class and will continue to do so this week. I recommend the experience and will be there to help you and cheer you on!

• Power Class time change for Thursdays:

This affects all of our Red, Brown, and Black Belt students. We are combining the Spirit and Power teams together with BB Masters at 6:15 – 7:00 on Thursdays. Please make a note on your class schedules — this will go into effect officially this week (4/11).

• A+ Registration for 2013-2014:

If you have an interest in our A+ After School Program for 2013-2014, please see Mr. Armstrong, Mrs Taylor, or Ms. Melinda our A+ Program Coordinator. All current A+ families will have an opportunity to register first, then new families may register as space in the program becomes available. A+ After School martial arts has been a very popular program and offers full- and part-time positions for members. It is a full martial arts program that offers every thing our traditional evening classes offer, only right after school.

• Testing on April 27:

Under-black belt testing will be held on Saturday, April 27, beginning at 10:45am. Any student who has been checked off for testing is eligible for this opportunity. Eligibility means enough classes (minimum of 40) and full knowledge of test information. If you intend to test please see your instructor.

See you in class!
