After School End of Year

Posted on June 1, 2017

A few end of the school year notes for A+ After School:

1. Monday, June 5 – Kick-A-Thon for cancer cause to help the Feldman family.

  • 4pm After School program
  • Keep collecting donations over the weekend
  • Bring in your donations and board on Monday to kick
  • If you haven’t gotten a board, pick one up at the front desk

2. Wednesday, June 7 – Last Day of School

  • School is out at 11am – no lunch served
  • If weather is nice, no rain – we’ll walk to Fireman’s park to play on playground, football, frisbee, sidewalk chalk, eat pizza, drink water, walk back to MPK and arrive back at 3pm.
  • Pick up times are the same unless you want to pick up sooner.
  • I have a sign up sheet on counter to check off if your child will be coming to MPK or no. Feel free to email me too. I need to know either way for a head count for buses.

3. Registration next year – pick up your papers at the front counter, fill them out, turn them in with one month payment and snack if buying from MPK. Early rates until June 30, after July 1 the 2017-18 rates go up.

Kick-a-thon Info (6/5)

We are full swing fundraising for the Feldman’s. Please follow this link if you would like to know more about Maddie: gofundme.com/notumours2morrow

This is just a quick check in regarding our Kick a Thon on Monday, June 5. Our goal was for anyone taking a board to get out and see how many signatures they could get by collecting donations. So far we have handed out over 108 boards! So if everyone is able to ask 10 people for just $10 this will be an incredible event. We have ordered more boards so if you haven’t picked yours up yet we be getting more by early next week. If you’ve signed up to participate in the kick-a-thon, thank you! If you haven’t signed up but would like to participate in the event, there’s still time!

Here’s how it works:

  • Get your board
  • Write a “bad habit” you want to break ON YOUR BOARD
  • Ask friends & family to help by donating $10
  • Have them sign you board
  • Invite friends & family to attend the Kick-a-thon
  • Come ready to break your board on June 5 at 4pm for A+ After School students, and 5:30pm for evening students
  • You may by extra boards for $2

We will also have Kelly Erdman and his family fundraising with his PIZZA TRUCK! Uncle E’s Pizza will be parked near the grass area from noon though the end of the event.

Our kick-a-thon events are always a lot of fun, and this year we get the privilege of raising money to help someone in our own family who can use our support. If you haven’t started fundraising yet, set a goal and start filling in the spaces on your board with the names of your contributors. With 108 boards handed out and counting, we’re extremely proud to have such great families coming together to make a difference — thank you!

Hope to see you all there. Have a great day!
