MPK Restart Info

Posted on May 22, 2020

I hope this email finds everyone doing well and getting ready to enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend! There will be NO CLASSES ON MONDAY Memorial Day.

We have been continuing to teach online classes and private lessons and are so proud of how hard our students have been working. Special thanks to our awesome MPK Instructors who have been putting in the hours to allow our members to continue to train.

On June 1 MPK will open our doors to begin live classes! This will be an exciting phase of getting back to business. This will also bring some challenges. Class sizes and times will be limited, so we are creating a schedule to accommodate this.

Over the weekend I will be sending out a full plan of action including your schedule and links you will use to sign up for your class. We will also continue to offer online classes for members who would like to take advantage of that.

Our goal is to continue to provide an excellent program to the most important people we know, our members. The safety of our students, staff, and families is by far our biggest focus and mission.

Beginning Online Classes

Posted on April 24, 2020

I hope you are all doing well and staying busy and healthy. On Wednesday, April 22, we began offering small group classes online. Our first class was for our youngest students. Little Kickers ages 4-7 were invited to join us at 11 am for a 30-minute online class.

We are so excited to be able to see everyone and hope you can join us for some training and fun. We will use this first class to help us understand how we can offer great classes for all our students. Stay tuned for more class schedules in the coming days.

NOTE: If you are looking to have a private lesson with an MPK instructor, here is a link to select with appointment options: Private Lesson | 20 minutes

Memberships Update

Posted on March 20, 2020

I hope this post finds you all in good spirits and enjoying your family time! I am reaching out to let everyone know what our plan is here at the studio.

As of Saturday morning we will be putting all memberships on hold until May 1. We understand that this unfortunate public health situation may go on for longer than that. As we get through April we will again reassess the current situation and make a decision at that time.

I am adding additional curriculum to our MPK Studio App Library. I currently have added some awesome age-specific workouts. I will also be adding more curriculum for your specific belt rank so there will be a wide variety of information you can use to get a great, at home workout!

I know this is a very stressful time for all our families. Getting in a workout is a terrific way to break up the day and get some blood pumping. Moms and dads please feel free to jump in and create some friendly family challenges!
If you get some great energy going, please feel free to share on our Facebook Page

One last thing: if anyone needs help with anything, please let us know. We have an awesome community who would be glad to assist in any way we can.

Be safe and we hope to see you all soon!

Closed… (for now)

Posted on March 15, 2020

I have made a very difficult decision to close our MPK Deforest Studio for at least the next week. I have made this decision with the guidance of health professionals with the best interests of our members and staff in mind. Tomorrow our staff will meet and start putting together some awesome at home training plans for our families.

We will continue to monitor advice from our incredible health officials and local authorities to let you know when we can get back to training here at the studio. Thank you and be well!

Sincerly, Mr. Armstrong

MPK Status Update

Posted on March 13, 2020

Hello MPK Families… just a quick note regarding our schedule as it relates to current events.

We plan to be open for business. We will assess as time goes on and keep our members informed regarding our schedule. Our number one concern is always the health and well being of all our members and will make decisions based on that criteria.

Below is a link to a letter from the Deforest Area School District which offers guidelines for dealing with this event.

While we love seeing all of our students, please do not attend if you are not feeling well. Be sure you are washing your hands regularly and doing your part in keeping our studio as clean as possible. We are cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces as we always do.

Best regards,

Mr. Armstrong, Midwest Professional Karate
