MPK Gear for the Holidays

Posted on November 16, 2022

MPK logo gear makes a great holiday gift for the martial artist in your life. The annual MPK Holiday Store is now open! You can order specialty items that we don’t keep in stock like hoodies, jackets, hats, shirts, beanies, and more, all decked out with the MPK Logo. You can even add your own name to some items, as well.

The site will be open until NOON on November 28. Be sure to check out your options here: MPK Holiday Store

Please let us know if things you order are for gifts and we will keep them hidden.

Saturday Open Gym Opportunities

Posted on May 6, 2022

We have a great new update to our Saturday schedule, beginning Saturday, May 7th (update schedule is here). We’ll be offering Open Gym times from 9:30 – 10:30 am, and we plan to offer this every week unless we announce a cancellation for testing or other special events.

Open gym is a time for students to work on the specific areas of their curriculum that they need to practice. Junior and Adult students can get their cards from the front desk and work independently or in pairs in the areas of their choice. For Little Kickers students, this is a great time for parents to kick off their shoes and help their student(s) work through their cards.

There may be Black Belt instructors available intermittently to answer questions and help out, but there will be no structured class. Students who attend Open Gym for at least 45 minutes and maintain focus during their workout will earn a class stamp for that day.

Please note that those students who want to test for a colored stripe will still need to register for a time slot on the MPK app, although if we have the instructors available, we may be able to provide some help or do the occasional stripe test during Open Gym.

Closed for Weather, Tuesday, Feb. 22

Posted on February 22, 2022

We hope you’re all staying safe in today’s icy weather! To keep our staff and students safe, we have decided not to hold martial arts or kickboxing class tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Thank you all so much, and we’ll see you for sparring on Wednesday or regular classses on Thursday!

Evening Classes As Scheduled

Posted on January 25, 2022

Just want confirm our evening classes are operating as normal this week. We did make a difficult decision to close our A+ After School Program for the week due to some of our after school staff being out. We appreciate everyone’s support and patience and we plan to have the A+ After School Program reopen on Monday, January 31.

I hope that everyone is staying healthy and warm this week!
